I'm at Sarvam in Bangalore, working on ___. Before that I studied bioengineering at IIT Mandi, with a semester at RWTH Aachen.
Most of what I've built is some way for a machine to sense the world: smell, touch, how people move. Away from screens I take photos, fly drones, and go up mountains when I can.
I build things that sense the world, fly drones, and take photos. These days I'm at Sarvam.

↳ how the arm works
This arm is a browser twin of the 5-DOF arm I built on an STM32. Every frame it runs inverse kinematics to turn where you point into five joint angles, keeping whichever elbow solution is closest to its current pose so it never flips. Each joint then follows its target through a critically damped controller with speed and acceleration limits, so it moves smoothly instead of snapping. Cursor jitter under 2px is ignored, and the wrist can't bend more than 100°.
Started with Arduino kits as a kid, ended up running weekend robot workshops for other kids in my neighbourhood. Still the most fun I've had teaching.

Studied bioengineering, wrote a few papers on brains and noses, and spent Inter IIT trying to keep a quadrotor flying after one of its motors dies. (Try clicking a propeller.)

Working on ___ . If you want to talk about drones, photos, or Indian-language AI, say hi.
Inter IIT Tech Meet 13 (IdeaForge): keeping a quadrotor in the air after one motor dies. [placeholder — write-up later]
top view, simplified toy model. With one motor gone a quadrotor can't hold its heading, so the trick is to give up yaw: let it spin and keep controlling position. Turn fault-tolerant control off to see what happens otherwise.
what I did
[placeholder — motor-failure detection in PX4, INDI, three-loop controller, control allocation]
Invention Factory, IIT Jammu: a faster, cheaper braille display. Each pin is lifted by a nitinol wire that shortens when it's warmed. [placeholder — write-up later]
simplified: the wire is heated past its transformation temperature and contracts, pushing the pin up; when it cools the pin drops back.
what I did
[placeholder — compliant mechanism, 33% faster actuation, 50% cheaper, patent in US and India]
An electronic nose: 11 MEMS gas sensors in a ring, and a small neural network that tells 18 natural smells apart. IJCNN '25. [placeholder — write-up later]
illustrative data, not real recordings: each smell gets its own pattern across the 11 sensors, and the classifier gets more confident as the response builds up.
Bioengineering at IIT Mandi, a semester at RWTH Aachen, now at Sarvam. I like building things that sense the world, flying drones, and taking photos of mountains.
